This is a list of terms used in most common terms used by players in StarBreak:

Maps:

  • FF: The Fire Forest
  • FB: The Frozen Blight
  • eFF: The Elite Fire Forest
  • eFB: The Elite Frozen Blight
  • FC: The Fungus Cave
  • VQ: The Vanquished
  • eFC: The Elite Fungus Cave
  • eVQ: The Elite Vanquished
  • UB: The Underground Base
  • ST: The Strands
  • eUB: The Elite Underground Base
  • eST: The Elite Strands
  • TL: The Temple of the Lost
  • GY: The Graveyard
  • eGY: The Elite Graveyard
  • eTL: The Elite Temple of the Lost
  • Brink: The Tutorial
  • SC: The Star Cathedral

Known Terms (terms that are used commonly)

  • Special: Equipment that fills the Special slot
  • Emps: Alt name for Empyreals
  • Alt: An alternate account
  • AP: The Armor Pierce modifier on equipment
  • 2s: A gun with 2 shots
  • 3s: The same but with 3 shots
  • Pen[e]: Penetrating modifier
  • Range: Range increase modifier
  • Ults: Inferior Ultrites, the most popular of the implants
  • sc(implant name here): EX: scSalites, The non-inferior version of implants that come from SC
  • inf(implant name here): EX: infSalites, inferior implants that come from UB, ST and higher, the ff miner and shops also have them
  • run: A usually large amount of people doing repeated completions of a map
  • Beryl: Berylblade Skein
  • Aeonics: Aeonic Empyreal Boots
  • Bow: Either Stonebow or Needlebow
  • Bolt: Bolt Thrower
  • Buzz: The spin attack when the Main button is pressed in the air by DW
  • Clear: To defeat a majority of the enemies on a dungeon on the way to the end, and/or defeating all chest areas
  • Soid: The Soidal Repeater, dropped a Strands, a Wildfire weapon that sends out a wave shot
  • WF: The default shell, the 'Wildfire'
  • DW: Unlocked by getting level 3. the 'Duskwing'
  • IC: Unlocked by getting level 5. the 'Ironclad'
  • Fab: Unlocked by getting level 7. the 'Fabricator'
  • Exp: The experimental prefix on equipment, referring to 3 modifiers
  • Stock: A new shell with default weapons and no stats
  • KBR: The Knockback Resist modifier on Mantlets
  • Leech: Referring to either the Leech modifier on skeins or not helping with a dungeon but staying for loot
  • Mango: Mangonel
  • Mid: The miniboss or halfway boss of a dungeon.
  • Mod[s]: A modifier (or modifiers) on equipment
  • Needle: Needlebow, the weaker version of stonebow, dropped by the Fungus Cave boss
  • Poly: Polychrome Skein
  • Proto: The prototype prefix on equipment, referring to 4 modifiers
  • QS: Quickstep
  • Rush: To skip past enemies and chests to reach a miniboss, boss, or shop quickly
  • SB: Starbreak
  • Shop run: A repeated open and rush for the sole purpose of finding a secret shop, most commonly done in eGY
  • Weapon: Generally refers to equipment that can be put in the Main slot, but can also refer to mains, seconds, and specials collectively
  • Simul: Simultaneous modifier
  • Frenzied: Frenzied Berserker
  • Perf: The best possible version of a weapon with all 4 mods perfect for optimal use (types are dps for best damage, range for best damage with range mod, combine for dps range combo, others are not used as often)

Unknown Terms (as in I dont hear them often [or ever] but I wont deny their existence)

  • #/5: The level of a type of boost (or all boosts) maxed
  • Adju: Adjudicator
  • Bac: Baculus
  • Bando Implant: Calites
  • Bluesades: Repeated runthroughs of the Vanquished with the only goal of finding Empyreals (commonly referred to as Blues)
  • Brig: Brigandine
  • Candy: EC
  • Critsuit: A Hyrst with +1% Base Crit Chance modifier
  • Crowdstomp: A large amount of people defeating a dungeon quickly and easily
  • Dumb: Codename for the Underground Base
  • Ehit: The Extra Hit modifier on skeins and sledges
  • Hulk: Graveyard
  • Kaerou: Alt nick for IC, used by the Japanese
  • Kanti: Kantikoy repeater
  • Kulb:
  • Max: To fill a level (or all levels) of boosts
  • Ninja: Alt nick for DW, used by the Japanese
  • Precep: Preceptor
  • Quad: A Trinity with +1 Dance modification
  • Quint: A Trinity with +2 Dance modification
  • Robo: Alt nick for Fab, used by the Japanese
  • Saph: Sapphire Skein
  • Serker: Berserker
  • Shotgun: Previously just a nickname for Arblast or Dragoon, but now the official name of the Wildfire starter weapon (a weaker arblast)
  • Sim: Simultaneous modifier on Duskwing seconds, baetyls, macrons, lancets, and baculi
  • Speedsuit: A Hyrst with +5 Movement Speed modifier
  • Steamroll: A large amount of people defeating a dungeon quickly and easily
  • Surfboard: Mechanized Macron
  • Trin: Trinity, a Fabricator exotic dropped by the Fungus Cave boss
  • Yard: Graveyard
  • Yellows: Durable Trackers
